Ten years on the road has brought Louise Taylor to intimate coffeehouses, large concert halls and festival stages across the United States and throughout Europe. Known as a writer’s writer Taylor has penned five critically acclaimed CD’s for Signature Sounds.

"I want my music to reach people from the inside out," says Taylor "The music that gets me excited comes from a sensual place; it’s a physical experience that starts with a groove." A self taught guitarist Taylor has developed her own distinctive style steeped in a strong brew of worldly grooves.

Louise studied voice with creative genius Frank Baker whose voice was paralyzed by a stroke early in his singing career. He went on to teach voice until his death at the age of 90. Says Taylor, "Frank was the rarest of individuals who not only gave me the tools to hone my skill as a singer but, most importantly, taught me honesty... there’s no fooling an audience." Taylor points to Nina Simone as a life long musical influence. "To me that’s what a real woman sounds like; fearless, sophisticated and soulful."
